The World's Greatest Scam

Perhaps the world's greatest scam was the idea of FREE TRADE agreements between countries like china and US. Very good for China that have seen growth and social development in the last 8 years, but very bad for United State Workers that have lost they good paying jobs. The idea was jobs outsourced to Asia countries would help American companies to make more money, indeed put a lot pressure in prices all over the world, but they missed the big picture. Americans adapted to life changing habits that would downsize the US economy, the way around this problem was to lend money to people so they can keep buying Chinese goods. In the mean time the middle class was disappearing due to a lack of good paying jobs and poor wages practices that is cause by a continue world wide price pressure.

The Bush administration
stimulated such actions by given corporations’ tax advantage to companies that outsourced our jobs overseas. I always thought that was the job of our government to protect the American worker against such predatory force. We should only practice free trade with countries that respect the workers in the way that US does, some examples are Brazil and Germany.

Why is The World's Greatest Scam? The Chinese holds most of the US debt, they also had the benefit of steady growth, the US have now a broken middle class, massive debt and all the moderate to small growth our economy have seen in the last 8 years, it wasn't growth at all, it was based on spending money that we didn't have to begin with, no wondering so many financial institutions have failed.

How do we get out of this mess? My hope is that we can make this blog a place where ideas can be shared to help the blue collar worker of America. That is why is important to pass on this blog URL to some of your fellow friends, coworkers, representatives. My personal opinion is that Manufacturing Technologies is a industry that need to be rescue from the hands of the China and India, also customer service of product bought in the US most be provided by a support team establish in the United States.

Definition of Fair Trade! Trades were both patties benefit from the transaction. So with that in mind it would be fair to ask tech companies such as HP, INTEL, SUNS MICRO SYSTEMS, CISCO SYSTEMS, to build more products here in the US, after all the majority of the sales are made to the personal and business market of United States.

Manufacturing Jobs is a life line to any economy, right now more than never new blood must be injected into the veins of this economy. As a former manufacturer worker I can assure the people that is reading this blog that we should never allow jobs like I used to have here in New Hampshire to be Outsourced to another countries, they are jobs that offer health and dental insurance, dollar for dollar match 401K, College reimbursement tuition, Stock purchase plan, Life and disability insurance, paid vacation, profit sharing, overtime and double time paid. So they are not only JOBS but a way for the blue collar worker to build wealth throughout his working life.

Bottom line! When someone tells you that outsourcing is a good thing to America because we are selling goods in other parts of the world like China and India. Think about how much the American worker makes an hour and how much a Chinese manufacturer worker makes a week, so if a American worker makes U$ 15.00 an hour and a Chinese worker makes U$ 15.00 a week, with that huge gap in wage is clear that Chinese people cannot buy any product that is manufacture by an American worker.

I like to thank you for spending time reading this blog and please leave you feedback and let me know about other talking points that are important to you OK?
